Just like last year, we went to see Santa on the night before Thanksgiving.  Jace was already with what he was going to tell Santa he wanted for Christmas…Elmo Slippers.  But the cat had his tongue once he sat on Santa’s lap.  He he did really good and didn’t cry…I didn’t think he would.  But he didn’t talk to him.  He enjoyed it a lot.

We started making Jace earn his keep by cleaning the living room! LOL  Just a few weeks ago he would freak out when I vacuumed and now he wants to do it himself.

I went and had Jace’s Christmas photos done.  He looked so cute!!

On Wednesday Nov. 12, Jace and I went to Lexington KY to go to a Wiggles Concert.  It was a long drive, but so worth it!  Jace and I both had the best of time!  I’ll never forgot the look on Jace’s face when he first seen the Wiggles Live!  They came driving out in their Big Red Car and Jace said “Oh Wow!” Like he couldn’t believe it was real!

The best part was when he was standing in his seat and he lend over and put his arm around my neck and laid his head on mine and just watched the show.

We had great seats right up front, second row center!!  So I had a sign to hold up that said “Jace is playing his guitar with Murray”.  For those of you who don’t know Murray is the red wiggle and Jace’s favorite.  Murray plays the guitar.

So as the Wiggles came out in their car I was holding the sign, no need to hold it over my head, since I was so close I just held it in my lap and they could see it.  Murray seen it right way and nodded his head.

I knew that during the show they read the signs, so I made sure it said his name so they would say his name.  And they did!  It was Murray who read the signs that night.  And he read it to everyone and said how the drawing of him was so nice…thank you very much!!  LOL

The show was great.  And kept Jace’s attention very well, which is a task in itself!  During the show the children can give roses to Dorothy the Dinosaur and bones to Wags the Dog.  And the Wiggly dancers come down to collect them all.  While the Wiggly Dancer just passed right by us in the front row.  So Jace was waving his around and even tried to toss it at Dorothy.  When Anthony, the Blue wiggle, seen him with it.  He even jumped down off the stage to take it personally from Jace to give to Dorothy.  He asked his name and as I was telling him, Murray said “That’s Jace!”  So it was cool that he remembered!!  Then Captain Featherswordeven jumped down to take Jace’s bone for Wags.  So it was very interactive for Jace.

I didn’t stop to get a shirt for Jace before the show because the line was so long, so I thought that I would do during the show, because I knew it would be long again after.  So we ran up and bought some stuff and as I was walking back I heard Jace’s favorite song “Play your guitar with Murray” (what else would it be! LOL).  I didn’t have time to get back to our seat, so I darted into the first section and run to the bottom on that area, which only went half way down.  But at least Jace got to hear and see some of it, but it would have been great to see that from down front.

After the show ended people jumped up to the stage where the wiggles were still at.  So I jumped up and put Jace on the edge of the Stage just as Murray was heading to the back and he stopped and came back and shook Jace’s hand.  Half way home all I heard was “Shake Murray Hand!”  It was the first thing out of his mouth the next morning too!  He thought that was the best thing in the world that he got to shake Murray’s hand!!

Well it has been a while since we made a post so I thought I would try to catch everyone up for the month of October finally.

Jace has gotten so big and he thinks he can use the computer. He does get his time on it with mommy or daddy and he typically goes to the Wiggles web site or to the Sprout web site.

We went to Lark’s Farm and this seems to be the family tradition now. He enjoyed seeing the chickens and looking for a pumpkin.

     

After a couple of weeks we let him work on making pumpkins with mommy. They seemed to have fun. He was so proud of them all. He even helped decorate one for Thanksgiving with mommy.

       

Then of course was daddy’s birthday as we neared Halloween. He was a monkey and played the part very well.. LOL!

  

The day of my birthday was a memoriable one and probably will never get forgotten. Here are some snap shots from the 29th.

     

Here a few other random pictures from this month since there was nice weather. Hard to believe it has been October since the weather has been really nice.

     

We will try to do better with posting more often for those who come to the site. It has been crazy around here but with God willing things will calm down soon and everything will get back to normal… whatever normal is anyways.

Well since June is coming to an end I thought I better post some highlights from this month. We’ve been busy having fun!

 

Jace has grown so much in the last few months. I don’t see him as a baby anymore. He’s so independent with everything he does. He wants to walk down the stairs to the car on his own. He has to step out the back door on his own, everything!

 

He’s so loving also! He kisses all the time. The best time is at bedtime when I’m holding him in his room telling him goodnight. He’ll turn his head and kiss me on the neck. Makes me never want to put him down! He’s so sweet.

 

He’s really starting to talk in sentences now. And babble on and on about who knows what. He’ll say things like “Oh My!” and “Oh Gosh!” But his favorite is still “WOW!”

 

We’re been busy trying to fit in as much fun as we can this summer. As a family we went to the zoo at the end of May and rode the train in early June. Last week we went to French Lick to see Dadda at work and then went to the Circus. It was pretty fun. Jace still can’t sit for long periods at a time, but did pretty good when the animals came out. Jace and Dadda love to play hide and seek…okay Dadda hide and Jace Seek. But Jace is getting too good, he knows all Dadda’s hiding places.

 

We’re still having play group with Jill on Tuesday afternoons. We’ve added a new friend named Winnie. Last week we to Jill’s Grandma’s house and made cookies and walked down the road to see horses and cows. Jace tried to climb in with the cows!

 

I’ve been trying to loss my “baby fat” so Jace and I have been going out for morning walks. And then once we’re done we stop at the playground to play. The other day I took him to the city pool. He loved it! Once in saw the slide it was all over…nothing else would do. Around the second curve on the slide we would start kicking his feet, ready for the bottom! Then as soon as I would put him on the pool side he would take off running for the stairs again. I would tell him to walk. He’d get out look at me and say “Walk” walk two steps and then run. He couldn’t wait to do it again!

 

He still loves the Wiggles! Today I went down to the movie rental place and we got two Wiggle movies to watch for the week. He danced around the living room and when it was over he would say “Please” over and over until we turned it on again! I’m thinking about making him a Wiggle for Halloween this year.

 

Earlier in the month we went to Holiday World. Jace didn’t care for the rides but loved the water park.

 

He did love the Jeeps up in Holi-dog’s fun town! I look like a goof-ball!!

A few times I’ve babysat for my cousins two girls and Jace has so much fun playing with Tess. The last time we played with the pool and they had a blast!! I put the slide in the pool and they had their own little water park!!

Crazy thing is, that the night before I had a dream that Jace got in the Tub and burned himself with the hot water…and then this happened. I kept making sure that he didn’t turn on the hot water. I never let him touch it at bath time so I think he knows. And yes there is a gate in front of the bathroom door but he pulled it down.

 

This past weekend my cousin Andrea got married. And once again Jace was caught Kissing the girls!! Later these two girls were fighting over who got to dance with Jace next. And Jace just played hard to get and walked away!

This is Jace’s Favorite place to sit at breakfast time. He’ll ask for something to eat and he’ll go over to his chair to eat. It’s so cute!

 

Here we are on the Train during Old Jasper Days at the Old Train Depot. The Strawberry Fest was also going on so we walked down there while we waited for our turn on the train and we had Strawberries and Ice Cream. On the train they had live music and Jace danced in the middle!

 

Mamaw went with us to see Dan Zanes in Concert. It was pretty fun to see someone in person after watching them on Playhouse Disney all these months. I hope the Wiggles come near us soon, Jace would love to go see them live!
