A Family Tradition…

October6

This weekend we went to the Huber Farms to pick pumpkins.  We normally pick pumpkins at the Lark Ranch, but we thought we’d change things up this year.  Jace told us that Picking Pumpkins was a family tradition and they learned at school that “Tradition” means that you do it every year.

June 2012

June25

June has been a very busy month.  Jace started Youth T-ball this year and he LOVES it.  He plays games twice a week for the White Sox.  His team is undefeated.

Every day Jace ask what we’re going to do that day.  He’s always wanting to go do something fun!

May 2012 Graduation

May30

May was a bittersweet month.  Jace graduated from Preschool this year.  I can’t believe that he’s old enough to start kindergarten in the fall.  He’s growing up to fast.  He said that he want’s to be a police officer when he grows up.

His preschool class took a field trip to Dairy Queen to make their own cones.  Jace had so much fun.

This month Jace got his first set of stitches.  We were playing at the splash park near our house and Jace and his friend were playing Frisbee when he flow over a set of bushes.  Jace jumped over the bush to get the Frisbee when he landed on some metal landscape edging and sliced open the bottom of his right big toe. He ended up with 5 stitches in his toe.  It was so funny how loopy he got when they gave him medication to relax him.

He was such a trooper with his stitches.  He said that he didn’t want to let his t-ball team down by missing a game.  So just 5 days after his stitches he played a game like nothing was wrong.

He’s been wanting a Mohawk hair cut for sometime and I had told him that once school was out I’d cut it.  So I kept my word and cut his hair after school was out.  He loves it so much!  It looks so cute on him too.

Christmas 2010

December30

I can’t believe how fast another Holiday season came up.  Jace is doing great in Preschool.  Dave and I thought of a great way to teach Jace to spell our last name.  Since he loves to play on the computer we changed his log-in password to “Gramelspacher”.  I wrote out Gramelspacher on a peice of paper and taped it to the wall right next to the laptop, so every day he’s having to spell it out.  It didn’t take him long before I heard him spelling it out on his own.

Jace helped papaw and me pull the Loofah sponges that we grow.  We had so many of them.  The easy part is growing and picking them.  The hard part is what comes after that, when you have to clean the skin off the sponges.  But it’s really neat how you end up with your own home grown Loofah sponges.

Jace is enjoying his new baby cousin, Alaina.  He’s so cute with her.  He likes helping feed her, her bottle. This year for Jace’s Yearly Christmas ornament, Jace picked a Chevy Pickup Truck.  Fred the Elf on the Shelf also made his way back to us from the North Pole to visit for the Holiday Season.

Jace and I took our annual trip to the town of Santa Claus to mail our Christmas cards with a hand stamped Christmas post mark.  We also visited the Candy Castle where Jace loves to help make “snow” and play with it.  He has so much fun there.

At church this year Jace played Joseph for the Christmas program.  He was so cute standing up there with a little Mary next to him.

We had a great Christmas this year. We rode on the Polar Express with Mamaw, Papaw Aunt Annette and cousin Spencer.  It was a lot of fun and we loved watching the “Elves” dance around.   Jace got what he really wanted from Santa, which was a Bass guitar.  Him and Daddy had a blast jamming together!
