Jace and I went to visit Santa at his house on the Square on the night before Thanksgiving as we have since his first Christmas.  Jace loves seeing Santa so much.

When we got home Jace found an Elf wanting for him.  Santa had sent an Elf to keep an eye on him during Christmas time.  Jace had to pick a name for him.  He named him Fred.  Every day Fred would hide in a new place and then watch Jace for the day.  At night Fred would fly back to the North Pole to report back to Santa.

Every year I take Jace to pick out a special Christmas Ornament.  I like for him to pick something that means something to him.  By the time he’s out on his own he’ll have at least 18 ornaments for his first Christmas Tree.  This year he picked out the Wizard of Oz one.  We had recently watched the Wizard of Oz and Jace just loved it.  We watched it over and over again.  So I think it fit this year.

We had a nice Thanksgiving at Mamaw and Papaw’s house.  When asked what he was thankful for Jace said Fruit.

I had planned on Jace being Blue’s Clues for Halloween and bought a cute outfit for him.  Then a few days before Halloween Jace tells us that he wants to be a Witch.  Since it was the first time he really had picked what he wanted to be, we figured that we should let him be what he wanted.  So just days before Halloween I was looking for a boy-like witch costume for him.  I ended up finding one at Walmart for $16, but then on a whim I stopped at one of the thrift stores and bought the same one, with tags for $1.  (The one at Walmart came with a mask that we were not going to use and the one at the thrift store didn’t have the mask…so it worked great!)

Jace helped me make out pumpkins again this year.  Which turned out great as always.  He also helped me make daddy’s birthday cake.  We made him a football cake.

We won free tickets to see Elmo Live in Owensboro also this month.  So we all went down there and had fun!

In early October, Jessica came home for a Visit.  Jessica, Annette, Spencer and I all went Horse back riding.  We had a lot of fun!

I can’t believe that it’s been 2 years since we were blessed with Jace!!  It’s true that they grow up fast!  What a great two years!

We had cake and ice cream at the house with Mamaw & Papaw Gutgsell, Grandpa Gramelspacher and Annette & Spencer.  Jace had a great time!! I think he had a better time on his birthday then he did during the Christmas season!

We had a Wiggle party, of course!  I made Jace a Wiggle Cake (pictured below) that was Chocolate, chocolate chip.  It was so good and rich!  When guest showed up, Jace handed out birthday hats in the Wiggle colors…as Jace says them Murray (red), Greg (yellow), Anthony (blue) and Jeff (purple).

When asked how old he is he always says “OLD!”  He’s so cute!

Jace is talking up a storm.  You’d never think that he’s only 2 years old.  He knows most of his colors other then calling some of them by Wiggle names, but you can always get him to say the right color.  He can also count to 10 but for some reason he skips two for some reason.
