Early in June, Jace and Mommy went to Louisville to see Dora Live.  We had so much fun.  Jace loves live shows so we try to do as many as we can.

June started the summer off fun!  We played in the pool when we could and went to the zoo often!  Papaw would come to visit and Jace played drums all the time!

Today was Mommy’s B-Day and Daddy and I made a cake and decorated it for her. The recipe we used for the cake is as follows:

Chocolate Chip Cake

1 – yellow cake mix

2 – boxes instant chocolate pudding

1 c. oil

1 c. water

1 tsp. vanilla

4 eggs (We used egg replacer since I am alregic)

1 (12oz.) pkg chocolate chips

You can add chopped nuts but I am alergic to them

Mix all of the above items in a large bowl.
Stir with a wooden sppon.
Pour into greased and floured cake pan.
Bake at 325 degrees for 50-60 minutes.

Then daddy and I made some homeade icing and colored it for the cake. Daddy and I had a long discussion about what to put on the cake and I told him to put a picture of me on it that he draws.

Then daddy asked me what I wanted it to say and we decided to put that “Mommy is Old” because when I am asked how old I am I always say “Old.”

It was a great day for mommy I think.

I can’t believe that it’s been 2 years since we were blessed with Jace!!  It’s true that they grow up fast!  What a great two years!

We had cake and ice cream at the house with Mamaw & Papaw Gutgsell, Grandpa Gramelspacher and Annette & Spencer.  Jace had a great time!! I think he had a better time on his birthday then he did during the Christmas season!

We had a Wiggle party, of course!  I made Jace a Wiggle Cake (pictured below) that was Chocolate, chocolate chip.  It was so good and rich!  When guest showed up, Jace handed out birthday hats in the Wiggle colors…as Jace says them Murray (red), Greg (yellow), Anthony (blue) and Jeff (purple).

When asked how old he is he always says “OLD!”  He’s so cute!

Jace is talking up a storm.  You’d never think that he’s only 2 years old.  He knows most of his colors other then calling some of them by Wiggle names, but you can always get him to say the right color.  He can also count to 10 but for some reason he skips two for some reason.

Just like last year, we went to see Santa on the night before Thanksgiving.  Jace was already with what he was going to tell Santa he wanted for Christmas…Elmo Slippers.  But the cat had his tongue once he sat on Santa’s lap.  He he did really good and didn’t cry…I didn’t think he would.  But he didn’t talk to him.  He enjoyed it a lot.

We started making Jace earn his keep by cleaning the living room! LOL  Just a few weeks ago he would freak out when I vacuumed and now he wants to do it himself.

I went and had Jace’s Christmas photos done.  He looked so cute!!
